Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager / Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to plan and execute projects, focusing heavily on material and equipment procurement. Your responsibilities will include identifying project needs, organizing project documentation, and ensuring timely procurement within allocated budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project details and deliverables.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
- Analyze data as required to inform project decisions and strategies.
- Conduct administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, drafting invoices, and preparing estimates.
- Track and report project progress, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Procure all materials and equipment for projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required. All experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in project management or procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
- Experience with Procore construction management software would be helpful but is not required.
